Ask your AI assistant what customers are saying
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Codex to Doorbell with MCP. Ask about your feedback in plain language, and get answers that link to every conversation they came from.
Available on the Enterprise plan.
-
Ask in plain language
Find themes, quotes and duplicate reports without exporting anything.
-
Read-only
Connections can search and read feedback, never reply, archive or change settings.
-
Everyone signs in as themselves
Each person only reaches the applications they can already see in Doorbell.
How it works
Questions you can ask
Your assistant searches and reads your feedback for you, then answers in plain language. For example:
- “What are customers saying about billing this month?”
- “Summarize last week’s negative feedback and group it by theme.”
- “Has anyone else reported the export bug Maya mentioned?”
- “Find three quotes about onboarding for our next planning meeting.”
Answers you can check
Every answer links to the conversations it came from, so you can open the original feedback in Doorbell before you act on it. If your assistant is also connected to your issue tracker, ask it to turn what it found into a draft ticket.
Set up in a couple of minutes
Open AI connections (MCP) in your Doorbell settings, pick your AI tool and follow the steps for it. You sign in with your Doorbell account and approve read-only access, with no API keys to copy or share.
Safe by design
- Connections are read-only: they can’t reply to customers, archive feedback or change your account.
- Each person signs in as themselves and only reaches applications they already have access to. If an application requires two-factor authentication, so does connecting to it.
- Internal notes, attachments and customer metadata are never shared.
- See every connected tool in your settings, and disconnect one to revoke its access straight away.

Questions about ai connections (mcp)
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to other tools. Doorbell’s MCP server lets an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT search and read your feedback when you ask it a question.
Which AI tools can I connect?
Claude on the web and desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT and Codex, with step-by-step setup for each in your Doorbell settings. Using a different tool? Let us know from the same page and we’ll look at adding it.
What can the AI tool see?
Feedback messages and their public replies, in the applications you can access. Internal notes, attachments and customer metadata are left out, and the connection can’t reply, archive or change anything.
Which plan includes AI connections?
The Enterprise plan. Everyone with access to an Enterprise application can connect their own AI tool from their Doorbell settings, and disconnect it at any time.
